"Candace has gotten used to her new living situation. Though she might have to sleep on a cold surface and eat bricks of jelly parachuted down by the government, and survive with only a staticky radio for entertainment, living in the basement of her school with a bunch of strangers really isn't that bad. It beats the alternative: joining the army of mindless zombies outside who have for a month been searching for the Orb of the Zodiac. Unfortunately, for Candace, good things never seem to last.
